Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on July 29...since 2000:

2000: The Rattlers won 6-3 at Cedar Rapids. Oscar Ramirez drove in three runs and Shawn McCorkle homered for Wisconsin. Craig Anderson allowed three runs (two earned) over eight innings for his eleventh win of the season. Rattler records after this game: 22-14 second half, 60-44 overall

2001: The Rattlers lost 8-5 to South Bend at home. South Bend broke a 3-3 tie with five runs off Erik Grunwald in the top of the seventh. Rattler records after this game: 22-13, 64-39

2002: The Rattlers lost 6-1 to Quad City at home. Eimiliano Fruto allowed six runs (two earned) over four innings for the loss. Joe Mauer had two hits and scored twice for the River Bandits. Hunter Brown drove in the only Timber Rattler run with a double in the bottom of the ninth inning. Rattler records after this game: 10-26, 40-65

2003: The Rattlers won 6-3 at Cedar Rapids. Michael Garciaparra had two hits and three RBI. Gary Harris scored four runs. BOBBY! Livingston allowed two runs over eight innings for his thirteenth win of the season. Rattler records after this game: 15-23, 53-51

2004: The Rattlers lost 8-3 at Battle Creek. Ex-Rattler Jason Van Meetren went 4-for-4 with a homer for the Yankees. Ryan Feierabend allowed seven runs on 11 hits in 5-1/3 innings. Rattler records after this game: 14-19, 45-57

2005: The Rattlers won 7-0 at Burlington. Ivan Blanco and Adam Brandt combined on the 4-hit shutout. Brandon Green and Mike Wilson both drove in two runs for Wisconsin. Rattler records after this game: 19-16, 58-47

2006: The Rattlers lost 9-3 at Beloit. Erik Lis drove in four runs for the Snappers. Jose Escalona allowed six runs (two earned) over 4-2/3 innings for the loss. Rattler records after this game: 12-24, 39-67

2007: The Rattlers lost 8-5 to Great Lakes at home. The Loooooons got to Nolan Gallagher for six runs (three earned) on seven hits over 3-2/3 innings. Rattler records after this game: 11-23, 33-69

A 3-5 record with some tough pitching performances. Plus, Jason Van Meetren haunts his old team with that game for the Yankees in 2004. It was at least an interesting day in Timber Rattler history.
