Mariner System Report (Games of 6/12)

Seattle (MAJ: 31-33; 3rd AL West): Seattle was off on Monday. Ichiro is red-hot.

Tacoma (AAA – 32-31; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Sacramento 8-6. Greg Dobbs (WI ’02) broke a 6-6 tie with a two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning. Michael Garciaparra (WI ’03) had three hits, including his first Triple-A home run. Scott Atchison (WI ’99) got the win with two scoreless innings and Renee Cortez (WI ’03) got the save.

San Antonio (AA – 23-39; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 6-3 at Corpus Christi. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Missions. The Hooks moved closer to a playoff spot and farther away from the appearance by Roger Clemens.

Inland Empire (High-A – 35-28; 1st California League South Division): Inland Empire was off on Monday. They had just one player, Yung Chi Chen ('05), named to the California League All-Star team and they have to get ready for a series with San Jose, the first place team in the North Division.
