Saturday in the MWL

@Lansing 4, Wisconsin 2 -- This article is pretty accurate. So is this one.

West Michigan 6, @Dayton 1 -- West Michigan scores five in the ninth -- four on a Cameron Maybing Grand Slam. Where have I heard that word implode before?

@Peoria 4, Clinton 1 -- Chiefs Keep Winning! They have five straight. Clinton Reliever Gerry Oakes' wildness did in the L-Kings.

@Southwest Michigan 5, Quad Cities 1 -- Big Crowd? Battle Creek? D-Rays Playing Well? Albert Pujols on a rehab for the Swing? Nope, Fireworks brings out 5,000+ and they see a win.
@Cedar Rapids 8, Fort Wayne 3 --

@Burlington 4, Kane County 3 -- Bees score two in the bottom of the ninth for the win. The Cougars lose the game. Their manager just loses it:

The Bees' victory was marred by a display by Kane County
manager Aaron Nieckula in the seventh inning.

Ethien Santana stole second base, although he initially was called out by the base umpire, who then changed his call. Nieckula raced out of the dugout to argue the call as the ball apparently beat Santana to the bag. When Nieckula got down on the ground to demonstrate the slide, he was ejected from the game. When he finally left the field, Nieckula left souvenirs, throwing the ball bag, bat donut, bats and a batting helmet onto the field from the dugout.

South Bend 6, @Beloit 5 -- A three-run top of the ninth for the Silver Hawks put a crimp into Beloit's late playoff run.
