Mariner System Report (Games of 6/11)

Seattle (MAJ: 31-33; 3rd AL West): Seattle beat the Angels 6-2. Felix Hernandez (WI ’03) pitched a complete game, gave up four hits, and struck out nine for the win. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez hit a home run and drove in a pair of runs for the Mariners.

Tacoma (AAA – 31-31; 3rd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Las Vegas 8-1. Jon Nelson (WI ’03) had three hits – a double and two homers – and drove in five runs to lead the offense. Shin-soo Choo added a homer for the Rainiers. Cesar Jimenez (WI ’03) pitched five scoreless innings for his second win of the season.

San Antonio (AA – 23-37; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 5-1 at Corpus Christi. Roger Clemens struck out eleven and gave up two hits over six scoreless innings for the Hooks. Bryan LaHair (WI ’04) had a pair of hits for the Missions.

Inland Empire (High-A – 35-28; 1st California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 5-3 at Lancaster. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) drove in two runs for the 66ers. Mike Hrynio (WI ’04) and Tom Oldham (WI ’04) both pitched three scoreless innings out of the bullpen for Inland Empire.
