Mariner System Report (Games of 9/11)

Seattle (MAJ: 68-75; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 6-2 to Toronto. The Blue Jays scored twice in the top of the first and three times in the top of the fourth to go up 5-0. Cesar Jimenez (WI '03) made his major league debut with a scoreless ninth inning.

Inland Empire (2nd round California League Playoffs): Inland Empire lost 4-3 to Lake Elsinore. The 66ers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and had a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth. But, the Storm scored twice in the eighth to tie the game and once in the ninth for the win. Luis Valbuenz (WI '06) was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored for the 66ers. Omar Falcon (WI '05) knocked in a pair of runs for the Sixers. Inland Empire leads the best-of-five series 2-1.
