Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on June 24…since 2000

2000: The Rattler game at Beloit was rained out. Rattler records on this date: 1-1, 39-31

2001: The Rattlers beat Kane County 8-0 at home. Joe Dusan went 3-for-3, homered, and scored three times. Kevin Olore pitched seven two-hit innings and struck out seven for the win. Including the end of the first half, this was the eleventh straight win for Wisconsin. Rattler records on this date: 4-0, 46-26

2002: The Rattlers lost 4-2 at Clinton. The LumberKings scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning. Juan Done pitched a complete game, but took the loss due to the Rattlers only scoring twice on nine hits. Roy Corcoran pitched two scoreless innings of relief for the LumberKings. Including the end of the first half, this was the ninth straight loss for the Rattlers. Rattler records on this date: 0-5, 30-44

2003: The Rattlers lost 7-4 to Peoria at home. Reid Gorecki homered and drove in three runs for the Chiefs. Tim Merritt had four hits and Jon Nelson homered for Wisconsin, but it wasn’t enough. Rattler records on this date: 1-5, 39-33

2004: The Rattlers lost 7-1 to Peoria at home in the second half opener. Joe Mather homered and knocked in two runs for the Chiefs. Mark Michael allowed one run over 7-2/3 innings for the win. Rattler records on this date: 0-1, 31-39

2005: The Rattlers lost 2-1 to Quad Cities at home. Luis Soto drove in the tying run with a single in the bottom of the seventh. But, an unearned run off Cibney Bello in the top of the eighth inning was the winning run for the SWING! Rattler records on this date: 0-2, 39-33

2006: The Rattlers beat Kane County 2-1 at home. Paul Fagan pitched a complete game for the win. He allowed six hits and struck out four. The Rattlers scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to take the 2-1 lead. Rattler records on this date: 1-2, 28-45

2007: The Rattlers beat Quad Cities 6-5 at home. Ricky Orta allowed three runs (two earned) and struck out six over six innings for the win. Juan Diaz drove in three runs to pace the offense. Rattler records on this date: 2-2, 24-48

A 3-4 record with some nice pitching performances (Olore in 2001 and Fagan in 2006) make this an okay day in Rattler history.
