And it is just me or is Roger Clemens everywhere these days? He just happened to be in the area on a personal matter and showed up at Fifth Third Field last night with his son.
@Cedar Rapids 4, Burlington 2 -- Tommy Mendoza held the Bees in check for eight innings after a pair of homers in the first gave him a lead.
Fort Wayne 7, @Peoria 0; @Peoria 4, Fort Wayne 1 -- Splitsville at O'Brien Field again. Mark Prior pitches again tonight for the Chiefs.
@South Bend 1, Lansing 0 -- Lugnuts had three hits and lose on a sac fly in the bottom of the eighth. Vincent Bongiavanni got the win in relief.
Quad Cities 4, @West Michigan 3 (11 inn) -- A two-out, two-run homer by Randy Roth in the top of the ninth tied the game and the SWING beat the Caps in extra innings. Former Rattler Brian Stitt got the save.
@Kane County 10, Southwest Michgan 1 -- Good hitting beats good pitching. Check that. Good hitting beats up good pitching.
