Here are a few places to go for a rundown of day one draft picks by the Mariners.
BaseballAmerica.com -- All 18 picks, plus a quick scouting report on number one pick Brandon Morrow.
Devin at Lookout Landing has a one word reaction to the Morrow selection (he does admit that it is an early impression): dumb. He does have a quick write up on picks 1-7.
If I could get trackback URL, I send you right to J's write up on the draft at Mariner Minors. But, I can't so go there and scroll for the (Incomplete) Draft Notes 2006.
How can you not read a story headlined, Get ready for Mariner baseball, grandma? The Seattle Times reports that the Mariners got the guy they wanted in Morrow.
I was thinking that jsonline.com would have a bit more on Mariner 4th rounder Tony Butler out of Oak Creek. But he just got a quick throwaway line at the end of a story about Luke Hochevar going number one overall.
Day two of the draft will be happening during today's doubleheader. More later.

Trackback links and permalinks work a little differently in Blogger. I tweaked my template a little bit so to get that link, you just need to click on the "posted by J at x time" line following every post, so my still-incomplete draft post would be found here.
The way your blog, and most other blogs are set up, you'd have to click on the little # next to the posted by line at the bottom of your posts.
Nice blog, by the way. Good info all around... I had forgotten that five innings was about the limit Escalona had pitched to in the VSL too. If he's keeping up his endurance, more power to him.
