Mariner System Report (Games of 6/10)

Seattle (MAJ: 30-33; 3rd AL West): Seattle beat the Angels 12-6 in Anaheim. Richie Sexson had a grand slam and Ichiro had three hits, three runs, and three RBI for the offense. Gil Meche (WI ’98) gave up two runs in five innings for the win.

Tacoma (AAA – 30-31; 3rd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 3-2 at Las Vegas. Bobby Livingston (WI ’03) allowed three runs over seven innings, but took the loss. Adam Jones (WI ’04) had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Rainiers.

San Antonio (AA – 23-37; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 8-3 to Corpus Christi. Luis Oliveros (WI ’02) had two hits for the Missions. Mark Lowe (WI ’05) pitched a scoreless eighth inning for San Antonio. The Hooks scored in the first five innings to cruise to the win.

Inland Empire (High-A – 34-27; 1st California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 1-0 to Lancaster. The 66er offense managed just three hits – two of them by Yung Chi Chen (WI ’05). Chen has raised his batting average to .329 with his two hits last night. Robert Rohrbaugh (WI ’05) tossed a complete game and allowed one third inning run and seven hits for the loss. He walked one and struck out eight.
