Seattle (MAJ: 27-33; T-3rd AL West): Seattle beat Minnesota 4-2. Felix Hernandez (WI ’03) gave up one run over seven innings and struck out five for his fifth win of the season. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez had an RBI and Michael Morse drove in a pair for the M’s.
Tacoma (AAA – 29-29; 3rd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 8-4 at Colorado Springs. Shin-soo Choo (WI ’02) had a pair of RBI for the Rainiers.
San Antonio (AA – 20-35; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 2-1 to Frisco. Sebastien Boucher (WI ’05) had a pair of hits and scored a run in the bottom of the first. Frisco scored two runs in the top of the fourth inning off Travis Blackley and held on for the win.
Inland Empire (High-A – 33-25; 1st California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 4-3 in ten innings at High Desert. The 66ers scored three times in the top of the ninth inning, but the Mavericks won the game with a run in the bottom of the tenth. Cibney Bello (WI ’05) allowed two runs over 6-2/3 innings for a no decision. Brent Johnson (WI ’05) had three hits for Inland Empire.
