Seattle System Report (Games of 6/2)

Seattle (MAJ: 24-32; 4th AL West): The Mariners beat Kansas City 4-0. Jamie Moyer pitched a complete game 2-hit shutout for the win. Jose Lopez and former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a scoreless tie. Lopez drove in two more runs in the eighth inning for three RBI on the night.

Tacoma (AAA – 27-26; 3rd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Salt Lake 5-2. Asdrubal Cabrera (WI ’05) had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI. Clint Nageotte (WI ’01) gave up one run on two hits and struck out three over five innings for the win. Jeff Heaverlo (WI ’99) got the loss for the Bees.

San Antonio (AA – 20-32; 4th Texas League South Division): Wichita beat San Antonio 7-1. Jason Mackintosh (WI ’04) allowed three runs (one earned) in five innings for his first loss of the year. Luis Oliveros (WI ’02) went 3-for-4 and drove in the only San Antonio run of the game. Zach Greinke, made the start and got the win for the Wranglers.

Inland Empire (High-A – 33-21; 1st California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 2-0 at Rancho Cucamonga. Aaron Jensen (WI ’05) gave up one run in the first inning to take the loss, but struck out six over four innings. Ryan Rowland-Smith (WI ’03) pitched a pair of scoreless innings. Matt Tuiasosopo (WI ’05) and Brent Johnson (WI ’05) each had a pair of hits for the 66ers.
