Wednesday Night in the MWL

@Burlington 6, Wisconsin 3 -- The Bees have won nine straight at Community Field. The Rattlers are still looking for their 20th win of the season.

@West Michigan 4, Dayton 3 (12 inn.) -- Michael Hernandez fills in for JUSTICE! by hitting a game-winning homer to start the bottom of the 12th inning.

Quad Cities 7, @Beloit 3; Quad Cities 3, Beloit 0 -- SWING sweep!

@Lansing 5, Southwest Michigan 0; @Lansing 2, Southwest Michigan 1 (9 inn.) -- Lugnuts sweep! Nah, it just doesn't have the same ring to it. But, the folks in Lansing will take it.

Cedar Rapids 4, @Clinton 2 --Stephen Marek pitched 8-2/3 innings to beat the LumberKings. Ryan Aldriges gets one out for the save.

Kane County @Peoria -- Cougars and Chiefs got suspended after two innings last night with the Chiefs leading 1-0. The story is about Mark Prior returning to pitch on Saturday for the Chiefs against Fort Wayne. The question I take away from that story is this: Is Mark Prior ready for Myron Noodleman?

South Bend @ Fort Wayne (DH) -- The doubleheader scheduled for yesterday was rained out. One of the games won't be made up. The other will be part of a doubleheader tonight. No word on which of the games in yesterday's doubleheader was cancelled.
