Mariner System Report (Games of 7/25)

Seattle (MAJ: 48-52; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 12-3 to Toronto. Gil Meche (WI ’98) gave up seven runs on ten hits and took the loss.

Tacoma (AAA – 55-47; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat New Orleans 4-3. Chris Snelling (WI ’00) drove in the tying run in the bottom of the ninth. Oswaldo Navarro (WI ’05) knocked in the winning run with a single. Jon Nelson (WI ’03) homered early in the game for the Rainiers. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) allowed two runs on seven hits over 6-2/3 innings with a pair of walks and six strikeouts.

San Antonio (AA – 47-53; 20-12 second half 1st Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Corpus Christi 2-1. Travis Chick allowed one run over six innings for the win. Jason Mackintosh (WI ’04), Stephen Kahn (WI ’05), and Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) each worked a scoreless inning with O’Flaherty picking up his sixth save.

Inland Empire (High-A – 53-47, 14-16 second half; T-4th California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 10-7 to Lancaster. Brent Johnson (WI ’05) had four hits for the 66ers offense. But, Shawn Nottingham (WI ’05) gave up nine runs on eleven hits over 4-2/3 innings to get the loss.

Everett (Short Season-A – 16-20; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett lost 11-3 at Eugene. Curt Ledbetter (WI ’06) homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Sox.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 14-14; 5th Arizona League): The Mariners lost to the Padres 9-4.
