Seattle (MAJ: 50-53; 4th AL West): The Mariners beat the Indians 3-1. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez and Ben Broussard both homered for the Mariners. Jarrod Washburn got the win after some scoreless relief work by Mark Lowe (WI ’05) and JJ Putz (WI ’00).
Tacoma (AAA – 56-50; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Oklahoma 9-2. Rob Johnson (WI ’05) was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a pair of RBI. Oswaldo Navarro (WI ’05) homered and also knocked in two runs.
San Antonio (AA – 48-56; 21-15 second half 1st Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 8-7 at Midland. The Missions tied the game with four runs in the topm fo the ninth inning. The RockHounds won the game in the bottom of the ninth on a triple and a throwing error.
Inland Empire (High-A – 56-48, 17-17 second half; T-2nd California League South Division): Inland Empire beat High Desert 4-3 in eleven innings. Reed Eastley tied the game 3-3 with a two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. JB Tucker (WI ’06) hit a homer in the bottom of the eleventh as a pinch hitter for the 66er win.
Everett (Short Season-A – 18-22; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Spokane 7-4. Bryan Sabatella (WI ’06) drove in a pair of runs and Gavin Dickey homered for the Sox.
AZL M’s (Rookie – 15-16; 1-2 T-6th Arizona League): The Mariners lost 5-4 to the Royals.
