Monday in the MWL

@Wisconsin 9, Clinton 6 -- This winning thing is starting to get fun.

Burlington 6, @Cedar Rapids 5 -- Just ask the Bees. They are one game out of the wild card spot.

Fort Wayne 6, @Peoria 2 -- Don't ask the Chiefs. They are the team that was up four games on the Bees for the wild card a few days ago.

Beloit 8, @Dayton 7 (10) -- Beloit was up 7-0 in this game. There was a heck of a collision at home plate with Beloit catcher Caleb Moore the collisionee and Dragon Josh Holden the collisioner. Moore held on and the Snappers won in the tenth.

@South Bend 5, Lansing 1 -- South Bend kept the Lugnuts from going nuts.

@West Michigan 6, Quad Cities 5 (11 inn) -- Caps losing streak crashes to a halt along with the winning streak for the SWING.

@Kane County 7, Southwest Michigan 6 -- And the Cougars were nestled all snug in their beds; visions of All-Star roster spots dancing in their head.

The Offensive Players of the Week and the Pitchers of the Week were named yesterday. In the Midwest League, Cougar Third baseman (and T-Rat Tormentor) Jeff Baisley won the offensive award for the second consecutive week and Beloit's David Shinskie was the pitcher of the week.
