Hopefully, his visit won't be like this

Spider-Man will be appearing at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium on Friday, June 6. It's a Family Night with Kids eat free and Kids Run the Bases. Plus, there is a scheduled post-game fireworks display.

I would like to thank Rick Chandler at Deadspin for posting a youtube video that may be used as a promotional spot for the Webslinger's visit. It may also be used as proof that most childhood memories of The Electric Company are not really as good as you think they are. Here is that video:

Two things:
1.) Spidey is a Met fan? Makes sense, I guess. The Fantastic Four and The Avengers would be Yankee fans.

2.) The umpire? Yes. It is who you think it is. He also played Easy Reader, which I always thought was spelled E.Z. Reader. Hipper for a young 1970's era Mehring, right?

Tickets available on-line.

Wow is that bad... You're right, it's not as cool as i'd remembered it being. And that stupid gorilla kinda scared the hell out of me as yoot.

I'd have to go with Batman then as a Yankee fan. I mean, dark blue pinstripes...dark blue bat outfit...I'm not saying, i'm just saying...

And speaking of Batman (clever seqway). I'm sure you're aware the last movie and the upcoming one again include the Electric Company's umpire...but we all know what the best movie Morgan Freeman ever made (no not Bruce Almighty) right? Yep, Shawshank Redemption..."Get busy living, or get busy dying"

And speaking of getting busy living (but yet another clever segway...)...is the next homestand here yet!!!

Looking forward to next week.
