Mariner System Report (Games of 5/22)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 18-30 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 9-2 at Detroit. Miguel Batista allowed five runs (four earned) over three innings and took the loss. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) drove in one of the two Seattle runs.

TACOMA (AAA: 23-23, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 7-4 to Las Vegas. Jeff Clement (’05) homered, but the Rainiers fell behind 5-0 early.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 30-17, T-1st Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Chattanooga 4-1. Brent Johnson (’05) hit a two-run homer and Michael Saunders (’06) hit a solo homer for the offense. Rich Dorman (’03) pitched a complete game, three-hitter with ten strikeouts and one unearned run.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 21-26, 2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 9-2. Kuo Hui Lo (’07) tripled with the bases loaded during a five run sixth inning to help blow open a close game.
