Mariner System Report (Games of 5/23)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 18-31 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 13-2 at New York. The Yankees scored eight runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to expand on a 5-2 lead.

TACOMA (AAA: 23-24, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 10-7 at Colorado Springs. Bryan LaHair (’04) homered and drove in a pair of runs for Tacoma, but the Rainiers could not come back from an early 8-0 deficit.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 30-18, T-1st Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 11-5 to Chattanooga. Adam Moore (’06) had three hits and two RBI for West Tennessee. The Lookouts scored seven times in the top of the seventh inning to put the game out of reach.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 22-26, 2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 9-8. The win was High Desert’s third in a row. Chris Minaker (’06) had a homer and three RBI for the Mavs. Shawn Kelley (’08) got the final four outs for his first California League save.
