Milwaukee Brewer Report: Games of April 18, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 3-8; 6th National League Central): The Brewers lost 1-0 to the New York Mets. New York Scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a scoreless tie. Yovani Gallardo pitched six shutout innings, but received a no decision.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 5-5; T-3rd Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat New Orleans 5-2. Hernan Iribarren went 3-for-5 with two RBI and Tim Dillard allowed one run on six hits over six innings for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 5-5; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars lost 6-3 to Mississippi. The loss ended Huntsville’s four-game winning streak.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 5-4; T-1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees beat Dunedin 9-2. Mike Jones allowed two unearned runs on four hits over five innings for the win. Caleb Gindl homered and knocked in two for Brevard County.

I spent the better part of Saturday cleaning/organizing the garage (made me wish i did live in a trailer...not really) and had the Brewer game on while i was working.

Several times they mentioned for people to come on out and see "the minor league game between the Brewers and Cubs Friday."

C'mon, where's the love? Can someone get them a promo sheet letting them know it's the Timber Rattlers and the Chiefs?

I know we've lost six in a row, but we're still a team...with a name. What is this a fancy cocktail party in uptown Cleveland? ("yeah, we've got uniforms and everything").
