Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of May 23, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 26-17; 1st National League Central): The Brewers lost 6-2 at Minnesota. Milwaukee was down 6-0 until they scored single runs in the eighth and ninth innings. Former Beloit Snapper Anthony Swarzak, who was making his Major League debut, had a lot to do with that.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 24-19; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 6-4 at Portland. Mike Burns allowed four runs over six innings and took his first loss of the season.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 20-18; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars beat West Tennessee 10-7. Taylor Green (’09) had three hits and three RBI for Huntsville. Kevin Mellilo homered and also had three RBI for the Stars.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 26-11; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees beat Dunedin 4-3. Steffan Wilson homered in the top of the ninth inning to break a 3-3 tie. Brevard County is 8-0 against the Blue Jays this season. But, that wasn't the only newsworthy bit to happen in the game.
