Milwaukee Brewer Report: Games of April 30, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 12-10; 2nd National League Central): The Brewers beat the Diamondbacks 4-1. Jeff Suppan allowed a homer to start the game, but kept Arizona off the board for the next 6-1/3 innings. Milwaukee scored four times in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead. Mike Cameron drove in a pair of runs in the inning. Trevor Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth for his second save.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 11-10; 4th Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 8-2 to Omaha. Adam Heether and Alcides Escobar had solo homers to account for Nashville’s runs.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 10-11; 2nd Southern League South Division): The Stars lost 7-6 to Tennessee. Huntsville scored six runs in the fourth inning to tie the game, but the Smokies got a run in the sixth for the lead.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 14-6; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees beat the Daytona Cubs 7-3. Amaury Rivas pitched five shutout innings, allowed two hits, and struck out six for the win. Zelous Wheeler homered and drove in a pair of runs for Brevard County.
