4/17 Game in a Word

Chances.

The Rattlers had chances, but missed on most of them. Southwest Michigan cashed in their opportunities and Wisconsin has a four game losing streak.

Garrett Groce had three hits for the D-Rays, including the game winner in the top of the tenth.

In their last four games, Wisconsin is 6-for-39 with runners in scoring position. They were 0-for-7 in Monday's game until Luis Valbuena's two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth tied the game 3-3.

You can sum up the way things have gone for the Rattlers by just looking at the bottom of the sixth. They loaded the bases on a pair of HBP's and a single. Eddy Hernandez struck out, but a run scored on a wild pitch. Bryan Sabatella got a run home with a ground out. The tying run was left stranded at third.

The Rattlers are going to be in a lot of games right down to the end this season. They just have to stop with the errors and get a few key hits.

Duh, Mehring. They pay you for this?

Yep. Radio ain't rocket science. One of my instructors at UW-Platteville told me so.

See.
