Mariner System (Games of 4/20)

Seattle (MAJ: 7-10; 4th AL West): Seattle lost 4-3 to the Rangers. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez homered, doubled, and knocked in a pair of runs for Seattle. Joel Pineiro (WI ’98) pitched 5-1/3 innings and gave up three runs on four hits and four walks for a no decision. Eddie Guardado walked in the winning run in the top of the ninth inning and took the loss.

Tacoma (AAA – 8-5; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 7-3 at Sacramento. TJ Bohn (WI ’03) homered for the Rainiers, but it wasn’t enough. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) scattered nine hits and gave up just three runs, but took the loss.

San Antonio (AA – 5-8; 4th Texas League South Division): The Missions were rained out in Frisco.

Inland Empire (High-A – 8-6; 3rd California League South Division): Inland Empire beat Stockton 2-1 in twelve innings. Yung Chi Chen (WI ’05) doubled in Mike Wilson (WI ’05) with the go ahead run. Wilson had three hits for the 66ers in the victory. Five 66er pitchers combined to strikeout 17 Port batters in the game. Mark Lowe struck out eight and allowed one hit over four innings.
