Last night in the Midwest League

Wisconsin 11, @ Fort Wayne 6 -- Henny Youngman writes for the Journal Gazette today: Take Thursday night, for example. Please.

@Lansing 5, Cedar Rapids 2 -- Cheng was shaky. BUT he has four wins this season.

Clinton 5, @South Bend 1 --South Bend gets two hits in a loss leading to the Always Alliterate! rule in the headline.

@Southwest Michigan 4, Burlington 2 -- I'll put as much effort into this as the headline writer at the Battle Creek Enquirer.

@West Michigan 8, Kane County 4 -- Why do I get the feeling that the Whitecaps are pretty good this year?

Peoria 6, @Dayton 2 -- Um, yeah. About that Dragons being on FIRE, not even a reahbbing Paul Wilson could help tonight.

@Quad Cities 6, Beloit 4 (15 innings) -- Which team do you think committed seven errors? If you guessed the same team that got a game winning homer in the bottom of the 15th, you'd be right. It was only right that Randy Roth hit the game winner. His error in the top of the ninth allowed the Snappers to tie the game.
