How did that line go from Glengary Glen Ross: A-B-C! A-Always! B-Be! C-Closing! Always be closing, always be closing.

South Bend got a two-out, two-run triple from Manuel Ferrer in the bottom of the eighth inning to turn a 4-3 Rattler advantage into a 5-4 South Bend lead.

By my count the Rattler bullpen is 3-for-6 in save opportunities this season. Remember, there were two blown saves in the Beloit game on April 11.

Jonathan Valverde closed out the Rattlers in the ninth for the second game in a row and now the Rattlers need to win tomorrow for a split in the four game series.

By the way, Valverde is the brother of Diamondbacks pitcher Jose Valverde:
