Mariner System Report (Games of 4/14)

Seattle (MAJ: 5-6; T-2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 2-1 at Boston. Seattle managed four hits in the game – three off winning pitcher Curt Schilling. Jamie Moyer gave up eight hits and struck out eight but took the loss.

Tacoma (AAA – 4-3; T-1st PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma was rained out at Fresno. The game will be made up as part of a double header on July 22nd. Friday was the second straight rain out for the Rainiers.

San Antonio (AA – 5-3; 1st Texas League West Division): Midland beat the Missions 6-2. Cesar Jimenez (WI ’03) took the loss by allowing three runs on five hits over four innings. Oswaldo Navarro (WI ’05) and Michael Garciaparra (WI ’03) each had a pair of hits. Bryan LaHair (WI ’04) drove in his eighth run in eight games for the Missions.

Inland Empire (High-A – 5-3 T-1st California League South Division): The 66ers had their four game winning streak ended with a 5-4 loss at High Desert. Former Clinton LumberKing Juan Senriso hit a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Mavericks the win. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) drove in a pair of runs for Inland Empire to help build an early 4-2 lead.
