SEATTLE (MAJ: 9-10 3rd American League West): The Mariners lost 4-1 to the Angels. Adrian Beltre hit a home run to knock in the only run of the game for Seattle. Former Wisconsin-Oshkosh Jarrod Washburn allowed four runs on ten hits over six innings to take the loss.
TACOMA (AAA: 9-7, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 12-3 to Colorado Springs. Joe Woerman (’06) allowed seven runs on two hits and five walks to take the loss. Matt Tuiasosopo (’05) had two of Tacoma’s five hits.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 9-7, 3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Birmingham 3-0. Doug Fister pitched 7-2/3 innings and allowed three hits for the win. Jason Mackintosh (’04) got the final four outs for the save.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 10-7, 1st California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 5-0 to Inland Empire. Carlos Triunfel’s one-out single in the top of the ninth inning was the only hit of the game for High Desert.
