SEATTLE (MAJ: 13-14 3rd American League West): The Mariners beat Cleveland 7-2. Seattle broke a 2-2 tie with five runs in the top of the ninth inning. Adrian Beltre hit a three run homer in the decisive inning. Mark Lowe (’05) got the win in relief.
TACOMA (AAA: 13-11, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 7-3 to New Orleans. Brian LaHair (’04) had a double and two RBI as a few big bats sat out the game for Tacoma.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 16-10, 3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-1 at Carolina. West Tennessee picked up four hits in the loss.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 13-13, 2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks beat San Jose 8-5. Leury Bonilla (’07) had three hits, scored three runs, and drove in a run. Joe Kantakevich (’07) got the win with 1-2/3 innings of scoreless relief as the Mavs rallied from a 5-0 deficit.
