Mariner System Report (Games of 4/28)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 12-14 3rd American League West): The Mariners were off on Monday.

TACOMA (AAA: 13-10, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Tucson 15-9. Wladimir Balentien (’04) hit three homers and drove in five runs for Tacoma. Bryan LaHair (’04) and Charlton Jimerson also homered for the Rainiers.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 16-9, T-2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 8-6 at Tennessee. West Tennessee had a 5-4 lead after scoring twice in the top of the eighth. But, the Smokies scored four times in the bottom of the eighth and held on for the win.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 12-13, 2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 10-3 to Bakersfield. Leury Bonilla (’07) hit a solo homer in the second inning for a 2-0 lead. But, Anthony Varvaro (’07) allowed six runs on eight hits over three innings.
