SEATTLE (MAJ: 11-11 3rd American League West): The Mariners lost 3-2 to Baltimore. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) had two hits and drove in a run for the Mariners. Ryan Rowland-Smith (’02, ’03) allowed a run in the top of the eighth inning and took the loss.
TACOMA (AAA: 10-8, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers were off on Wednesday
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 12-8, T-2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Birmingham 8-4. Mike Wilson (’05) hit a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give West Tennessee a 7-4 lead.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 10-10, 2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 6-1 at Lake Elsinore. Carlos Peguero (’07) homered for the only High Desert run of the game. The Mavs have lost five straight.
