SEATTLE (MAJ: 12-14 3rd American League West): The Mariners lost 4-2 to Oakland. Felix Hernandez (’03) had a 2-0 lead after seven innings, but allowed four runs in the top of the eighth and took the loss. He struck out ten in the game.
TACOMA (AAA: 12-10, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 4-0 at Tucson. The Sidewinders scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning off RA Dickey. Tacoma had three hits in the game.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 16-8, T-2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Tennessee 4-0. Adam Moore (’06) had three hits, a homer, an RBI, and two runs scored for West Tennessee. Chris Jakubauskas pitched seven scoreless innings and allowed four hits for the win.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 12-12, 2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 5-2 to Bakersfield. Leury Bonilla (’07) and Carlos Peguero (’07) each had an RBI for High Desert. Keith Renaud (’07) walked five and allowed four runs over five innings for the loss.
