Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on April 20…since 2000

2000: The Rattlers lost 8-0 at Quad City. I was not at this game due to the Green Bay Gamblers being in the playoffs.

2001: Burlington beat the Rattlers 11-6 at Fox Cities Stadium. Hawkeye Wayne allowed five runs in the first inning as the Bees built 8-1 lead. The Rattlers got to within 8-6, but Burlington put the game away with three in the top of the ninth. Justin Gemoll had four hits, two runs, and two RBI for the Bees.

2002: Cedar Rapids beat the Rattlers 11-4. Mike Napoli had three RBI and Jeff Mathis homered for the Kernels. Wisconsin committed seven errors in the field.

2003: Cedar Rapids beat the Rattlers 15-8 at Fox Cities Stadium. Kernels hit four home runs – two by David Gates. Beau Hintz took the brunt of the beating as he allowed seven runs, but Dave Viane allowed six runs, too. Tim Merritt and Cip Garcia both had two-run homers for the Rattlers.

2004: The Rattlers game against Burlington at Fox Cities Stadium was rained out.

2005: The Rattlers beat Burlington 2-0. Wisconsin had eleven hits in the game. Rob Johnson had three of them, including an RBI single in the fourth inning. Jason Snyder, Cibney Bello, and Craig James combined on the three-hitter.

2006: The Rattlers beat the Southwest Michigan Devil Rays 14-3. A seven run fourth inning out the game out of reach. Alex Gary hit a two-run homer later in the game for the Rattlers.

2007: Beloit beat the Rattlers 8-3 at Pohlman Field. The Snappers scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally from a 3-2 deficit. Danny Valencia hit a three-run homer to break the 3-3 tie.

Wisconsin is 2-5 with a rain out on April 20...since 2000. A lot of those losses have been blowouts and the Rattlers have been outscored 56-37, if my math is correct. Yep, 4/20 has been a crummy day in Rattler history...since 2000.
